, E-Cards Reach Deal Over Name

Share this content: Inc. and E-Cards have ended their yearlong battle over the similarities in their corporate names.

E-Cards, San Francisco, will keep its corporate name and Web site,, as a result of the deal. However,, Toronto, is expected to announce its new corporate name and Internet address today.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In May, a federal court awarded E-Cards a $4 million settlement against for unfair competition practices. appealed the verdict before coming to an agreement with E-Cards.
