DRTV News Briefs: Church & Dwight Spend $325 Million for Orange Glo International

Princeton, NJ-based Church & Dwight Co., the maker of Arm & Hammer products, announced an agreement to acquire Orange Glo International, Greenwood Village, CO, for $325 million in cash. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory and other customary approvals, is expected to close during the third quarter of 2006.

Personal care and household products provider IGIA said its Instant Cover product is now available on Amazon.com. In addition, IGIA announced plans for the British home shopping channel, Ideal World, to air live demonstrations and infomercials featuring Instant Cover on British television channels.

Northern Response International Ltd.  in Toronto announced its appointment as exclusive international distributor of Turbo Jam from Beach Body. Launched in the United States in December 2005, Turbo Jam maintains the No. 1 position on both IMS and Jordan Whitney.

Accretive Commerce, Huntersville, NC, announced a long-term agreement with New York & Company Inc., a specialty retailer of women's apparel. The agreement states Accretive Commerce will provide a suite of direct commerce services, including integration of a new on-demand e-commerce platform in alliance with software provider ATG, as well as order management, order fulfillment, customer care and channel management services.

Concepts TV Productions, Boonton, NJ, was awarded three Telly Awards for producing commercial campaigns for Comet, Chloraseptic and March of Dimes. Hydraulic LLC, Irvington, NY provided the creative concepts.

Backchannelmedia, Boston, announced that Steven Edelstein, managing director of Wallingford, CT-based Fosdick Fulfillment Corp., has been added to the company's board of advisors.
