Bookspan Gets DMEF Honor

Continuity book club marketer Bookspan will be honored with the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation's 2006 Corporate Leadership Award for contributions to direct marketing education at the annual DMEF awards dinner on June 20, the foundation said yesterday.

Bookspan, Garden City, NY is a partnership between Bertelsmann AG and Time Warner Inc. and the parent company of Doubleday Entertainment and Yes Solutions.

The award will be presented in New York during the Direct Marketing Association's 2006 DM Days New York Conference & Expo taking place June 20 - 22 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Bookspan CEO Markus F. Wilhelm will accept the award on behalf of the company. Wilhelm was awarded the 2002 DMEF Edward N. Mayer Educational Leadership Award. He served two terms on the DMEF Board of Trustees and is currently vice chairman of DMA's Board of Directors.
