Adobe Systems, San Jose, CA, yesterday announced its plans for delivering the next generation of Web and print publishing at the Seybold Publishing 2000 Conference in Boston. Adobe executives displayed new solutions that they said will revolutionize how publishers will make money from their digital content.

Among the items previewed were new and future publishing technologies along with a future asset management technology designed to help solve the problem "publishers face when attempting to leverage content across the Web and print." An upcoming Web graphics and animation product that helps leverage the common technology and patented user interfaces found in the Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop products was also previewed.

In addition, Adobe showed the Adobe PDF Merchant, an e-commerce solution for publishers. The demonstration showed how content will be purchased on the Web and delivered to any personal computers, Windows CE or Palm OS devices.
