Adidas-Salomon AG, the parent company for the adidas brand, is suing Abercrombie & Fitch Co. for trademark infringement, adidas spokesman Jan Runau confirmed yesterday.

The German-based sporting goods manufacturer claims Abercrombie & Fitch, New Albany, OH, copied adidas' three-stripe design in one of its latest lines of casualwear.

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Portland, OR, on Dec. 23.
