Acxiom Corp. Inks Deal with Merit Direct

Database services provider, Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR signed a three-year agreement on Wednesday with Merit Direct, Stamford, CT to allow Merit access to its direct marketing executive database and database prospecting alliance database. The databases are housed in Conway, AR, but Merit will have access to them on behalf of its clients.


"For our clients, it's business as usual," said Ralph Drybrough, regarding the agreement. Drybrough, former Direct Media executive, left DMI in December to start Merit Direct.


He estimated the firm currently has 75-80 clients, including Lands' End's corporate sales division, Pitney Bowes and Time Warner.
