Marketing Store promotes Maclean

Clive Maclean, president of The Marketing Store for U.S. agency services, has been promoted to president of the shop's North America agency services.

Mr. Maclean held his old position for four years and was based out of the Oakbrook Terrace, IL, office. His new title will require him to develop promotional, branding and marketing campaigns for Marketing Store clients in North America including McDonald's Corp., Coca-Cola Co., Miller Brewing and Verizon.

Mr. Maclean has 25 years of experience in the advertising and marketing business. He ran his own integrated marketing agency in South Africa, which today is Leo Burnett South Africa.

He moved to the United States to become executive vice president at CM Partners. Foote Cone & Belding bought that agency and named Mr. MacLean president of FCB Direct, Chicago. He joined the Marketing Store after serving stints at Kestnbaum Consulting and Wunderman.

Meanwhile, John Hilbrich, president of the Marketing Store Canada, Toronto, was promoted to global president of agency services. He will relocate to the Oakbrook Terrace office this summer. Also, Doug Thompson, senior vice president at the Marketing Store, was named president of the Canadian office, succeeding Mr. Hilbrich. He will be based in Toronto.
