MapInfo Taps net.Genesis

MapInfo Corp., Troy, NY, has licensed software from net.Genesis Corp. Cambridge, MA, to assist in developing its e-customer intelligence and e-CRM systems.


Net.Genesis said the net.Analysis software improves online marketing by identifying online behavior and increasing the efficiency by which online marketers and Web designers target and serve customers' needs.


Net.Analysis will gauge key metrics of customer visit patterns on MapInfo's various Web sites, including page views, duration of visits and conversion rates, and will correlate these key metrics to help managers identify what changes will result in increased browser retention. MapInfo also will be able to analyze online marketing efforts, including advertising, online seminars, direct mail and e-mail campaigns.
