Managers Buy Sigma Back From Acxiom

Sigma Marketing Group, Rochester, NY, said yesterday that it has been repurchased by a group of its senior managers.

Terms were not disclosed

Sigma has been a part of Acxiom Corp., Little Rock, AR, since mid-1998, when May & Speh, the company that acquired Sigma, was purchased by Acxiom. Sigma was founded in 1985 by Dennis Alongi and David Stirling.

"Being a part of the Acxiom Corp. for the past 3 1/2 years has been very rewarding, particularly in terms of the strides we've made from technology and revenue standpoints," Alongi said in a statement. "Now, we're looking forward to taking this business to the next level as an independent company once more."

Sigma's services include analytical research and modeling, data processing, interactive communications, creative and production and marketing program strategies. The company has 150 employees.
