MainXchange.com Raises $6 Million

MainXchange.com, a Web site for teen-agers with a virtual stock market game, chat rooms and auctions, has acquired $6 million in a round of private placement funding.


Funding came from Jerusalem Global Ltd., Israel Infinity Fund, Veritas Venture Capital Management Ltd. and Bob Lessin, chairman of WIT Capital.


Money will be spent on the research and development of new content applications such as TeenSpeak, The Voice of Generation Y. The MainXchange game is part of the school curriculum, where pupils and teachers use the site and stockmarket simulation to teach children about the value of managing money.
