Mailers Set to Form Task Force With USPS

CEOs of major mailing companies are expected to meet with the U.S. Postal Service today to announce a joint task force that will work to ensure the safety of the nation's mail and economic security of the industry.


The mailers will take part in a roundtable discussion with postmaster general John E. Potter and other postal officials where they will discuss anthrax and other major issues facing the postal service.


Among the companies attending are Fingerhut Companies Inc., Minnetonka, MN, and ADVO Inc., Windsor, CT. The mailers are expected to forward a letter to President Bush that explains the work they expect to accomplish.
