LTS Creates Segmented Trans Union List Offerings

List Technology Systems Group Friday announced its management of nine newly available Trans Union Business Information Services files.

"The new files are individual segments that are part of the Trans Union Master File -- each product is speaking to a different market that we thought there was a need for in the direct marketing community," said Pamela Mulligan, director of list management at List Technology Systems Group, New York.

The Trans Union Business Information Services Master File has more than 14 million names.

Trans Union, one of the country's largest credit reporting companies, has compiled the file from more than 60 sources and developed it through data modeling, actual observations, and financial and credit information.

The new segments are Women in Business, U.S. Importers/Exporters, Nonprofit Businesses, Minority Business Owners, Office Supply Buyers, Shipping/Transportation Users, Energy/Utility Users, Communications Systems Users and At Home Businesses.

Additional segment lists will be made available in the future, Mulligan said.

Selections available on the files include size of firm, type of firm, number of employees, top executives, annual sales growth, sales volume, net profits, corporate credit card information, years in business and phone numbers.

The file is recommended for targeted direct mail offers as well as for telemarketing. It can be used for credit card offers, office equipment, office supplies, investment opportunities, executive training and other business-to-business offers.
