Lowe's Cos. Inc., a hardware retailer, and Discovery.com recently launched a site to provide how-to tips and other information for homeowners.

Called the Toolbox & Learning Center, the site can be accessed via home improvement channels at Discovery.com. The site will be promoted on Discovery's TV programs as well as on shows on its sister network, The Learning Channel. Each month, featured projects will be selected to reflect the month's home improvement programming on Discovery Channel and TLC.

Each page of how-to tips also will feature tools available for purchase at Lowes.com. In addition, the site is running a promotion that gives visitors the chance to register to win an over-the-range microwave oven or a Dewalt drill.
