Long-Time Minority Employment Firm Goes Online

Employment firm Richard Clarke & Associates Inc. launched a Web site that will offer resume-posting and job-searching services for minorities as well as recruitment services for businesses looking to hire minorities.

The firm will use its database of 240,000 college-educated minorities between ages 22 and 47 to attract viewers and advertisers. It will promote the site with e-mail and direct mail as well as with print ads in publications that focus on minority communities.

"It was inevitable that we move to the Internet," said company founder Richard Clarke. "We believe we have created a cost-effective advertising medium offering a high degree of certainty that clients will be reaching their audience."

Clarke & Associates, New York, has offered minority hiring services since 1957.
