Lockerz, a Seattle-based social media rewards company, acquired online fashion community Chick Approved on May 25, said Eugene Oh, PR leader at Lockerz.

The acquisition will help Lockerz continue to build its fashion experience for members, Oh said. Per the acquisition agreement, Chick Approved will become part of the Lockerz brand, and all of its members will become Lockerz members.

Oh said the purpose of the acquisition is to endeavor to continue "giving members even more ways to get rewarded for doing what they love online."

As part of the acquisition, Lockerz hired Megan Parken as a partner, Lockerz said in a statement. Parken (known as "MeganHeartsMakeup" on YouTube, will have her own boutique on Lockerz's shop platform, Oh said.

Chick Approved, which is just over a year old, had three employees. Its former CEO Jeff Turnbull will be joining Lockerz in Seattle, Oh said. He did not specify what Parken's new title will be.

Lockerz did not release the financial details of the acquisition.
