Local, BTB Search Services Debut at SES Show

Among the services launching at today's Search Engine Strategies New York show are search agency tools and a business distribution deal. Barry Diller, chairman/CEO of IAC/InteractiveCorp., will give the keynote for the four-day conference and trade show.


Business search engine Business.com, Santa Monica, CA, said its contextual search results will be available to Entrepreneur.com's 5 million monthly visitors, and it will power the search and provide directory results for users of SmallBizSearch.com.


Local search engine TrueLocal, Guelph, Ontario, is introducing an Accredited Agency program, which lets media buyers and search agencies manage their clients' local search programs online.


TrueLocal indexes 50 million Web pages and specializes in providing search results for local brick-and-mortar businesses, along with local weather.


Also, news search engine Topix.net, Palo Alto, CA, a news aggregation site, recently added 15,000 blogs to its database of 12,000 mainstream news sources. It also expanded into the citizen journalism business, enabling users to comment and post stories directly to the site.


In other news, Sane Solutions LLC, North Kingstown, RI, which developed the NetTracker line of Web analytics solutions, said last week that it was named to KMWorld Magazine's 2006 list of "100 Companies That Matter Most in Knowledge Management" for the second year in a row.
