The Order People, a subsidiary of United Stationers Inc., has appointed direct marketing agency LKH&S, Chicago, to start the brand and create lead-generation programs.


Positioned as a customer contact and fulfillment services firm, The Order People will offer outsourcing solutions for single-source fulfillment, customer relationship management solutions, customer care and marketing.


LKH&S will break the campaign for The Order People in the summer. A full-service agency with billings of $30 million, LKH&S has clients such as Digital Insight, International Truck and Engine Corp., PerformanceData, BP Amoco, Trans Union, HOMExperts and ComEd.


The Order People is a prestigious win for LKH&S. The $3.9 billion United Stationers, Des Plaines, IL, is North America's No. 1 distributor of business products to resellers, distributing more than 400,000 items to 20,000 resellers. It also offers marketing and logistics services.
