List Professional Maldando Dies

List professional Rafael Maldando died May 17 of an apparent heart attack that occurred at work. He was 51.


Maldando was an account executive focusing on customer support at list management and brokerage firm Macromark Inc., Brewster, NY. He was with Macromark only about nine months but held previous direct marketing positions at New York-based list firms Research & Response International and the now-defunct Uni-Mail.


"He was a true gentleman and a real team player," Steven Keats, executive vice president at Macromark, said of Maldando. Keats said Maldando worked in the industry for about 20 years.


Maldando lived in Staten Island, NY. He is survived by his mother and siblings.


Funeral service information was unavailable at press time.
