List Experts Boosts Brokers, Acquires Brill
The List Experts (TLE), Dunedin, FL, a list management, brokerage and database firm, is attempting to alter a compensation schedule that has been in effect for 30 years by raising the broker commission on selected files by 5 percent.TLE has convinced the owners of 19 files under its management to increase the standard broker commission from 20 to 25 percent. The promotion was mailed to more than 450 list brokers the week of July 27.
TLE has acquired the assets of the Art Brill Consulting Co. The assets include several million fundraising names, political contributors and collectibles files, and environmental databases. TLE managed some of the Brill political files before his death earlier this year. Brill was a veteran of almost 50 years in the direct mail field.
