List Executive Charna Weindruch Dies at 61

Longtime list industry professional Charna Weindruch died of cancer Wednesday. She was 61.

Weindruch served the industry as a list broker for more than 25 years, working mainly with consumer and business-to-business catalogers. Most recently, she was executive vice president/partner at List Strategies South, Marco Island, FL. She opened that office in partnership with Joel J. Cooper, president of List Strategies Inc., New York, more than two years ago.

"We had been friends for many years, and she was a client of mine before we formed the partnership," Cooper said. "She did everything for her clients. In all honesty, she lived and breathed for her clients and kept working basically until the end."

Before that, Weindruch worked at Alan Drey Co., Greenfield Direct Response and Uni-Mail.

She is survived by two sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 820 Davis St., Evanston, IL 60201.
