LiquidPrice.com Introduces New Car Selling Business

LiquidPrice.com, the online marketplace where merchants bid for consumers' business, debuted its free auto buying service in Chicago.

The service is available at www.liquidprice.com and at third-party automotive information site Edmunds.com. Through its PowerShopper buying service, LiquidPrice.com, Santa Clara, CA, allows buyers to select the make, model, year and trim options of the vehicle they want, then open the selection for online bidding through LiquidPrice.com. Within 48 hours, consumers will receive anonymous bids indicating price and delivery date from pre-screened Chicago-area dealers.

During the bidding process, dealers can see each other's bids and can rebid if another dealer offers a better price or delivery date. Buyers can also communicate anonymously with bidders via a message center during the bidding period. There is no obligation, and consumers remain anonymous until a bid is accepted.
