Limited Brands Creates New Office; Names Vice Chairman
Limited Brands Inc., Columbus, OH, on Friday announced the creation of an Office of the Chief Executive.The company also named Dr. Leonard A. Schlesinger as vice chairman. He will retain his position as chief operating officer.
Leslie H. Wexner, chairman/CEO, said in a statement that the chief executive office will "allow me to increase my focus on top-line generating activities by turning over a collection of operational activities to Len."
Dr. Schlesinger joined Limited Brands in October 1999 as executive vice president, Organization, Leadership, and Human Resources and was promoted to chief operating officer in February 2001.
