*Lillian Vernon Signs on With ReturnValet
As a result of the ReturnValet service, Lillian Vernon customers and gift recipients in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, area will be able to return merchandise in person to 100 neighborhood locations for credit on purchases within 24 hours. In addition, customers are charged low shipping costs. The service does not require customers to pre-pack their returns, and insurance of up to $100 is included.
Lillian Vernon customers will be able to use the service beginning Dec. 26. The service is being offer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area first because of its proximity to Newgistics' headquarters.

In addition to customer service, ReturnValet helps retailers complete the returns process by consolidating and shipping packages to a centralized processing center that sends returns back in bulk rather than as piecemeal customer returns. The merchandise can be restocked, shipped to a retail outlet, liquidated or disposed of, as specified by the retailer.
Through the aggregate processing and delivery system, ReturnValet helps to lower retailers' operating costs. The ReturnValet technology also captures data on returns for retailers' use.
