Lillian Vernon Picks Evant Solutions

Lillian Vernon will use two solutions from Evant, which provides retail planning and demand chain management software, as part of the streamlining of its merchandising and demand chain operations.


The announcement was made this week at the National Retail Federation conference in New York.


The Rye, NY-based catalog and online marketing giant is upgrading its merchandising inventory systems. It will use Evant Merchandise Planning, which lets merchants plan more effectively by channel and across channels and respond faster to shifting inventory requirements.


Evant was selected after evaluating 12 other vendors.


After implementing Evant Merchandise Planning, Lillian Vernon will deploy Evant Demand Planning and Replenishment, which will link the company's vendors with its 827,000-square-foot national distribution center and corporate headquarters on a single system to further streamline its demand chain business processes.
