The 40-page, 5 3/8-by-8 3/8-inch book will feature 274 items, including handbags, umbrellas, cosmetics cases and jewelry. Most are exclusive and can be personalized.
"The fastest-growing products today [at Lillian Vernon] are accessories and bags," said Jonathan Shapiro, president of Lillian Vernon Corp., yesterday during the Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association's annual "Meet the Presidents" luncheon at Manursing Island Club in Rye, NY. "Personalization has always been big, but now it's bigger."
