Letter: Why Some Ignore DM Basics

Your recently published circulation panel discussion certainly showed a spectrum of individual strategies ("Panel Discusses Reinventing Magazines," Feb. 3).


Yankee sent out reconnaissance to survey the landscape before action (the correct way), Reader's Digest "smoked their own management dope" and never left the bunker, and Folio felt the howitzers bracketing and concluded that a new foxhole might not be a better alternative.
