Letter: Which Is Worse, the Guillotine or Electric Chair?
I just read the article by Scott Hovanyetz that quoted a study reporting people prefer pop-up ads to telemarketing calls (Nov. 26). The desperation of firms whose lives depend on the success of online advertising is approaching comedic levels.
Do they even know what they're saying when they say people "prefer" pop-up ads to telemarketing calls? It's like saying that people prefer the guillotine to the electric chair.
