Letter: USPS' First-Class Mail Is First Rate

I recently shopped on the Web for a decorative car tag to put on the front bumper tag holder of my mother-in-law's car. We found it at licenseplateshop.com.

I placed the order on a Wednesday around lunchtime. The tag was in my mailbox on Friday morning, within 48 hours. That's more than 1,900 miles in just two days, all the way from Reno, NV, to Alabaster, AL (in the metro Birmingham area), by First-Class mail. Not Express Mail or Priority Mail, or even one of the overnight carriers ... just plain old First-Class mail!
