Letter: Telemarketing Industry Needs to Do Better Job of Regulating Itself
As a consumer, it's so annoying to receive telemarketing calls [often using predictive dialers]. I've also had the unfortunate situation of having had a telemarketer record me a sale when I said no. It's so messy and annoying to have to find the time to get the matter undone.
I welcome the regulatory control. There has to be a way to do business "ethically" and still provide ample opportunities for employment.
