LETTER: Loyal Employees Will Be Rewarded

I enjoyed the editorial "Massages? Not a Good Sign" (iMarketing News, Nov. 20, www.dmnews.com/articles/2001-01-22/12724.html).

Just as the tech companies are learning money doesn't just grow on the stock market tree, the workers will have to discover that what they are experiencing isn't reality, either. It reminds me of college -- it was a lot of fun, but it sure wasn't real life.

When I have to choose to hire one of two otherwise equal candidates, one who has had 12 jobs in six years and the other one or two jobs in the same time, it won't be a hard decision to make. In fact, the latter wouldn't even have to have quite the skill level of the job-hopper.

Loyalty and responsibility will always be rewarded over time.
