Lands' End to Customize E-Mail Newsletter

Lands' End, Inc., Dodgeville, WI, will soon unveil its newly customized e-mail marketing newsletters to customers. The current Overstocks News, which is sent out twice weekly, and What's New will be combined into a single online newsletter.


The $850 million catalog company's new format, which is expected to debut Dec. 1, will also allow customers to customize both the frequency and the content of incoming e-mail newsletters. The customization will allow consumers to choose exactly which content categories they want to receive news about, such as women's apparel, men's outerwear, kids' wear, and women's accessories.


Its e-commerce business at www.landsend.com accounted for $61 million in sales for fiscal 1999, more than triple its 1998 figure of $18 million.
