KSL Media Hires Former Upoc CEO

KSL Media, one of the leading independent media services agencies nationwide, named David Sklaver as president of its East Coast operations.

Sklaver is to build KSL on the East Coast. He most recently was president/CEO of Upoc, a wireless media firm that under his watch became one of the largest providers of text-messaging services nationwide.

Before Upoc, Sklaver chalked up 25 years in advertising including stints as president of now-defunct Wells Rich Greene, founder of his Artustry Partnership agency and many senior positions at DDB Worldwide in the United States and overseas.

Sklaver is expected to improve KSL's services, recruit business and attract more talent to the shop.

KSL, which also has offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, boasts clients like BBC America, Grey Goose Vodka, K-Swiss and Countrywide Financial. Advertising agency clients include Butler Shine and Stern, Carlson Partners, Pedone and Partners, Kovel Fuller, Berenter Greenhouse Webster and Ground Zero.
