KnowledgeBase Database Offers Charitable Contributors

Database marketing firm KnowledgeBase Marketing Inc. has debuted its Charitable Contributors Database of 88 million individual consumers likely to donate to nonprofit organizations.

The new database allows nonprofits to select self-reported charitable contributors while retaining the selectivity of KnowledgeBase's enhanced AmeriLINK database.

The Charitable Contributors Database is selectable on an individual consumer level as opposed to the household level; demographic and lifestyle information are selectable.

"I think the biggest advantage is that the majority of the contributor files out there are at the household level and this is all individual-level data," said Heather Hudetz, director of product marketing, KnowledgeBase Marketing, Richardson, TX. "Our customers had a demand for individual-level data."

Using the self-reported data, KnowledgeBase built a model to project gift amounts that individuals are likely to donate to charitable organizations.

Along with projected gift amount, nonprofits can choose selects such as geography, gender, mail-order responsive, presence of children, dwelling type, education level, estimated income, ethnic code and telephone numbers.

Lifestyle information is available through AmeriLINK, which allows mailers to target individuals with interests that match their causes. Categories that may appeal to nonprofits include art/cultural events, Bible/devotional reading, current affairs/politics, household pets and wildlife/environment.

The base price on the file is $45 per thousand with additional charges for selects.
