Kmart Shoppers Get Access to Sears Credit Card
Kmart shoppers now can apply for and shop with a Sears private-label credit card, Sears Holdings Corp. said yesterday.Sears Holdings, Hoffman Estates, IL, previously said that it had amended its agreement with Citibank, which manages the Sears credit card portfolio, and would terminate Kmart's relationship with HSBC, which had provided a private-label credit card program for Kmart.
Most former holders of the Kmart card will receive a new Kmart card beginning this month that will be accepted at Kmart and Sears once it is activated.
Sears has offered a private-label credit card for more than 50 years.
