Kmart Runs Banner Ads on USPS Web Site

Kmart began running banner ads on the U.S. Postal Service's Web site over the weekend to promote the relaunch of BlueLight Specials in Kmart stores.

The banners will run for four weeks.

The ads will appear on the USPS' ZIP code lookup page (www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/lookup_zip+4.html). The page links directly from the usps.com home page by clicking on "Find ZIP Codes."

"Our ZIP code page is one of the most heavily visited on our Web site, with more than 2 million visitors per month," said John Ward, vice president of core business marketing at the USPS.

The banner ads will link to online versions of Kmart's weekly newspaper inserts, also found on BlueLight.com. All of the items featured in the weekly circular will be viewable online.

Banner advertising on the USPS Web site is offered as part of the Postal Ad Network, which makes a variety of postal service assets available to advertisers, including delivery vehicles, collection boxes, and Priority Mail and Express Mail packaging.
