Kintera Starts Community Charity Site
Kintera Inc., an application service provider to nonprofits, announced last week the launch of its Communities of Giving beta Web site.The site was created as a directory of charities for consumers, according to Kintera, San Diego. Consumers can learn about each organization and its mission as well as make donations and connect with others through the site's online community tools.
The Web site will be promoted by the Kintera Media Network, featuring city and regional magazine partnerships throughout the United States.
Kintera also introduced the Kintera Charitygift card recently, which allows gift recipients to select online the charity to receive their donation at the site.
The site can be found at www.kintera.org/CommunitiesOfGiving. Nonprofits interested in joining the site can find more information there.
