Kelly/Russell Opens DM Doors

Justin Russell and Mike Kelly, two former Hallmark Loyalty executives, have formed a Kansas City, MO, agency called Kelly/Russell Advertising.


The agency, at kelly-russell.com, already has clients like Camp Fire USA, Kansas City Symphony, Silpada Designs, Country Club Bank and Playful Palate.


"Kansas City doesn't have a lot of DM-focused shops, and we saw an opportunity there, especially given our DM backgrounds," Russell said. "Most of the agencies here are advertising-, design- or interactive-focused."


Russell was senior copywriter and editor at Hallmark Loyalty, Kansas City, before becoming creative director at his own shop. Kelly was vice president of new business development at Hallmark Loyalty. He is now president of Kelly/Russell.
