Kamerschen Retires as Advo Chairman

Advo Inc., Windsor, CT, announced yesterday that Robert Kamerschen has retired officially as chairman of the board of the cooperative direct mailer. The move was expected. Kamerschen had retired as CEO in January and was retaining the chairman's post on an interim basis.

He is replaced as chairman by Gary Mulloy, who replaced Kamerschen as CEO in January.

Kamerschen, who negotiated with the Post Office to secure lower rates for Advo based on the fact the company delivered its mail to individual branches, has a contract to continue as a consultant with Advo through 2008.

"He's been a real maintain in our dealings with the Post Office, and he will continue to work in that capacity, among other things," said David M. Stigler, senior vice president.
