Kahng named Lucy Activewear president

VF Outdoor Americas has named Shaz Kahng president of Lucy Activewear, a multichannel retailer of women's clothing for gym, yoga, running and other active pursuits. The company announced the appointment May 18.

She will oversee all aspects of the company, including e-commerce operations and marketing. Kahng will report to Steve Rendle, president of VF's Outdoor Americas Coalition.

Kahng most recently served as global director of business development for women's training at Nike. She has also led brand strategy for Wolff Olins, a brand consultancy, and was a managing director at Scient, a San Francisco-based Internet consulting firm.

Corrine Doran, the company's director of business development, had served as interim president since mid-November 2009, following the departure of Michelle Lantow.

VF acquired Lucy Activewear in August 2007.
