Justice Department Seeks Info from Homestore.com

Homestore.com yesterday said the U.S. Justice Department requested information from the company about its online real estate business.

The Thousand Oaks, CA-based company did not say what the Justice Department was investigating but said the request came from the department's antitrust division.

Homestore is a large, online real estate network that provides information on buying homes, finding a broker, renting and moving.

In March, the company said it would form an online business-to-business network with National Association of Realtors.
