JoS. A. Bank Q1 Sales Rise 20 Percent
JoS. A. Bank Clothiers Inc.'s net income for the first quarter ended April 30 totaled $6.7 million, up from $5.3 million for the same period last year, the multichannel men's apparel marketer reported yesterday.Also, the Hampstead, MD-based company generated a 20.8 percent sales increase in the quarter totaling $96.6 million. Comparable-store sales rose 4.1 percent while combined first-quarter catalog/Internet sales increased 26.4 percent.
