JoS. A. Bank Income Rises 52%
Net income at JoS. A. Bank Clothiers Inc. rose 52 percent for the 2003 fiscal year ended Jan. 31, reaching $16.6 million, the Hampstead, MD, company said yesterday.Total sales for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 climbed 30 percent to $100.9 million from $77.9 million in the prior-year period. Total sales for the 2003 fiscal year improved 23 percent to $299.7 million compared with $243.4 million in fiscal year 2002.
Comparable-store sales increased 10.7 percent in the quarter and 8.2 percent for the year.
