Jordan Tamraz Caruso Wins DARC, Auctions.com, Others

In addition to snagging two more agency-of-record assignments, Jordan Tamraz Caruso, Chicago, made public Monday that it brought in $20 million in new business.


Joining the growing advertising and marketing communications firm's roster are DARC Corp., Chicago, a solutions provider of Oracle applications; auctions.com and cars.com, divisions of Classified Ventures Inc., also of Chicago; and TruGreen-ChemLawn, Memphis, TN.


The $3 million auctions.com account represents JTC's latest agency-of-record win and is accompanied by additional media handling responsibilities for cars.com.


"We're looking at database marketing, Web-traffic analysis and business-to-business as well as traditional consumer advertising and direct marketing for DARC," said Brian Gosizk, senior vice president and general manager at JTC. "The other accounts will have more direct mail as well as trade and consumer print advertising."


Gosizk said at least $6 million of the new business comes from TruGreen and about $2 million from DARC. "It will certainly keep us busy," he said.


The agency already handles trade advertising for three other Classified Ventures divisions: NewHomeNetwork.com, apartments.com and HomeHunter.


For DARC, JTC will provide database development and online and direct marketing consulting services. DARC specializes in providing training, consulting and enterprise integration software services to large and mid-sized businesses across the United States.


JTC's responsibilities for TruGreen-ChemLawn - one of the nation's largest providers of lawn-, tree- and shrub-care services - will include strategic and media planning, print and online advertising development and direct mail retention programs.
