Johnson & Hayward President Dies of Heart Attack

J. Craig Johnson, 69, president of Johnson & Hayward Inc., Clifton, NJ, died April 10 of a heart attack.


Often called an industry pioneer, Johnson recognized early on the importance of global marketing and communications and developed Johnson & Hayward from a small, domestic lettershop into an international mail service. He was frequently invited to speak at postal conventions and industry trade conferences and exhibitions. He also led the establishment of the International Mail Processors Association.


Johnson is survived by his wife, Onriet, and two daughters.
