J.Crew Reports Internet Sales Rise

Despite a $10 million decline in catalog sales, J.Crew saw its Internet sales increase by $15 million in fourth-quarter 2000.


The company said fourth-quarter revenue in the J.Crew Direct business, which includes the catalog and e-commerce site, rose to $112 million from $107.1 million in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from its retail businesses increased 17 percent in the quarter to $138.1 million from $117.9 million a year earlier.
