J.Crew Gets Down to Business With New BTB Book

J.Crew plans to introduce a new business-to-business catalog aimed at corporate customers, the company said yesterday.

The book, called Corporate Sales, is expected to mail Sept. 8. The 24-page edition will be sent to a list of prospective corporate buyers and will be available online at jcrew.com/crewcorp.

The specialty retailer said it will feature 66 distinct styles for men and women that are professional yet allow for individual expression. J.Crew said the catalog will feature customer-friendly, close-up photography as well as wardrobe recommendations. Special services will include monogramming and custom embroidery services allowing businesses to personalize products with their logos. Gift cards and multiple-location shipping also will be available.

Product categories include Classics, which are staple items such as the cotton jersey turtleneck and stretch poplin shirts; J.Crew icons, including the roll-neck sweater, the barn jacket and the pocket T-shirt; Workweek separates, which include the stretch pocket shirt, chino trousers, merino wool sweaters and suiting; and Accessories, such as canvas bags with leather trim, backpacks and nylon messengers.

Along with the unisex items, the catalog also will offer styles specifically designed for women, such as the fitted broadcloth cuffed shirt, refined cotton twin sets and wool crepe suiting.

Prices are expected to range from $12.50 for a pocket T-shirt to $198 for a wool crepe suit jacket.
