Japanese Agency Will Make DoubleClick's DARTmail Available to Clients

OptoMail, a permission-based e-mail marketing agency based in Tokyo, plans to offer DoubleClick's DARTmail services to its corporate clients that want to send targeted, personalized e-mail to their opt-in lists.

The company said its clients generally see click-through rates of 5 percent to 18 percent, depending on the type of list and the message. It has more than 3 million e-mail names under management.

DoubleClick's DARTmail system serves more than 300 million messages per month. The company said that for the first time, services that have been available to DARTmail users in the United States are now available in Japan, including automatic detection of user platform, one-to-one dynamic personalization and real-time tracking of reader actions.
