Jagged Edge Files for Chapter 11
Jagged Edge Mountain Gear, Moab, UT, a designer, manufacturer and retailer of technical outerwear and rugged sportswear, has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization.The decision followed a depressed winter of catalog sales. The company attributes poor sales to Sept. 11, the anthrax mail scare and a slow economy prior to Christmas.
Jagged Edge is developing a new business model that includes more financial and operational resources to grow the company's wholesale, retail and Web site division.
The company has three Colorado retail stores; a wholesale division; and a catalog/mail-order division.
