Jackson Associates, MAISY

Jackson Associates, Chapel Hill, NC, announced extensions in the 1998 update of its MAISY (Market Analysis and Information System) commercial customer energy marketing database system.

The customer-detailed information system is designed specifically for the energy utility industry and provides energy, hourly loads, building, equipment, occupant and other energy-related information and profitability analysis for commercial and residential customers. According to Jackson, customer data is available for the 48 continental states, and hourly energy and profitability analysis may be conducted for any of 215 U.S. cities.

The extensions expand the MAISY to include colleges, universities and federal buildings. The database provides additional customer business-category detail by identifying retail businesses as strip malls, enclosed malls, retail businesses and services. The software allows a user to drill down to customer segments or to an individual customer by using a number of variables.
