iXL Enterprises Acquires Tessera Enterprise Systems
iXL Enterprises, Atlanta, this month announced that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tessera Enterprise Systems, Boston.According to iXL, the combination of Tessera's data warehousing and data mining technologies and its Internet e-business knowledge will put iXL in a leadership position in the enterprise relationship management industry.
The transaction is valued at $120 million and represents Tessera's first acquisition in more than a year. It has already been approved by the board of directors for both companies and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 1999.
